our history

The practice started in 2014 after Dr Slabbert and her family
moved to the lovely town of Cradock, where she lived out her
passion to care for patients of all ages and walks of life, but it
quickly expanded to include a whole team of compassionate,
caring and competent people.

Our team includes your family doctor, who cares for patients from pregnancy through childhood, adulthood, and beyond. Working alongside are our dedicated allied health professionals — including a clinical psychologist, physiotherapist, chiropractor, orthotist, audiologist, dietitian, and occupational therapist.

biography

about dr slabbert

Dr Slabbert grew up in the picturesque town of Stellenbosch, and graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1997 as a General Practitioner.
She Completed her Internship and Community Service, and then did a Diploma in Anaesthesia, Diploma in Obstetrics, and her Diploma in Sedation and Pain Control, while working various hospitals in Nelson Mandela Bay, and as a General Practitioner at a private practice in Uitenhage.
In 2011 her family relocated to Cradock, where she is working as a Family Physician at the Family Medical Centre, servicing the community of Cradock at an Integrated Health facility. She loves working with patients from all ages, from pregnancy and birth to the elderly, and she believes that health is more than just the absence of disease. Her motto is “because we care”, and that is what truly inspires her.
She is married to Corne and they have 4 amazing kids, Niel, Jaco, Corne and Anina. She loves reading, photography, running and hiking in the mountains, and camping with her family.
